Access Mode - Application access settings

Decide who can access your event in the app. It's up to you whether users should log in at the entrance or have open access to the content.

NOTE!

The application contains modules that, due to their nature, require login, and these are: Feedwall, Attendees, Treasure Hunt, Business Matching. There are also modules that have functions that require logging in, such as Surveys and Quizzes, asking questions in Agenda or adding photos in Photo Booth.

If you want to protect your event from unwanted guests, you can create an additional Access Code, or restrict access to a completely closed guest list, using the Whitelist function. By using these methods, the content in the application will be 100% confidential.

Types of access to the Application

In the second step of creating an event in the Admin Panel in the Access section, you must select one of the four types of access for users (you can change it later):

Whitelist

This is a type of access in which the organizer defines a list of specific recipients. Only people whose email address has been added to the Whitelist can join the event. In addition, you can indicate the entire domain of email addresses whose members will be allowed access.

When a user from outside the Whitelist wants to join an event, he or she appears in the list of participants with a status of Pending. The application administrator must approve such a person in the Administration Panel under the Manage tab, in the Users module.

Disabled

Any user can join an event without logging in. The application will only suggest logging in if the user selects an application function for which it is necessary.

Optional

The user who intends to join the event will be offered a login, but will be able to skip this step by clicking the "x" in the upper left corner of the screen. Logging in to the application is possible using Facebook, Linkedin, an Apple account, or a previously created account in Meeting Application. If you do not have an account, you can proceed to user registration, located at the very bottom of the screen.

Required

The application requires each user to log in. Logging in to the application is possible using Facebook, Linkedin, an Apple account, or a previously created account in Meeting Application. If you do not have an account, you can go to user registration, located at the very bottom of the screen.

NOTE!
By setting the access type to Disabled, the default module that opens automatically when you enter the event, the so-called First to open, cannot be one of those modules that require login. In the panel, in step four of Summary, the selection of such a module is blocked by graying it out.

Modules that require login are: Feedwall, Attendees, Treasure Hunt, Business Matching.

Application access code

If you want to secure the event from guests outside your organization, you can set an additional access code that the application will ask for when they try to join the event. This feature is completely independent of the type of access you choose, so you can apply it to any of them.

The Access Code should consist of a string of characters, or digits, and must not include spaces and diacritical marks such as: ą, é, ä, etc.

Remember to pass the Access Code to your target app users before they start joining the event!

Have a successful event with Meeting Application!
