What are PUSH notifications used for?

Get users' attention to the most important informations, direct them to designated places and inform them of changes:

How to create a PUSH notification?

To create a PUSH notification, go to the PUSH Notifications module and select (+). Complete all the fields marked with (*). The notification must contain a short title, which is a shortcut of the message, and a description.

PUSH notifications can be directed to a selected group of users, people signed up for a specific session in the agenda or to all guests of the event.

If you want to send a PUSH notification to a selected group of users, select the tag corresponding to a specific group of users in the Choose User Groups field. At the same time, under the tag selection box, remove the All Users tag using the (x) button. The All Users tag is added by default for each new notification:

PRO TIP

If you want to send a test PUSH only to yourself, and the participants of your event have already joined the App, you can do it using tags. Create a new user tag to which you will assign only the people who are to receive the test PUSH, and then send the notification as described above.

As an alternative to sending a PUSH notification to a specific group of participants, you can also choose to send it only to those people who have added a specific session in the agenda to their schedule.

If you want to use this method, in the Manage tab, select the Audience section, and then indicate the specific group of users to whom you want to send the notification. In the next step, the Choose Agenda Session menu will appear, from which you need to indicate the specific session:

PUSH redirecting to the module

By selecting the Redirect to deeplink option, the person who clicks on the PUSH displayed on his screen will be immediately taken to the destination of this link. Without selecting this option, the participant, after clicking on the PUSH, will be redirected to the Notifications section of the Application, where, after pressing the Redirect button, he will be transferred to the corresponding section in the event:

PUSH can redirect users to a selected place in the App, drawing their attention to the most important elements of the event.

If you want to select the place of redirection, in the Create tab, click on the Navigation deeplink section, and then select the module to which you want to redirect users. In the next step, you need to specify to which module the PUSH should be directed in case any module appears more than once in the Application.

If it is important to you to redirect users as precisely as possible, then in the last field select the target item within the selected component, for example: a specific session in the agenda or a selected quiz:

The PUSH that appears on the phone screen, when clicked, redirects the user to the selected location. All notifications received by the user are available in the Application's bottom navigation bar, in the Notifications section. There you can check the details of the notifications received, and after clicking the Redirect button, be redirected to the destination.

Scheduling the sending of PUSH notifications

A PUSH notification can be sent in real time, or be scheduled for specific time in the future. Select Now to send the notification right away. If you want to schedule the dispatch, select Send later and enter the appropriate date.

Scheduled PUSH notifications are sent by the system, so there may be a few minutes (1-5 min) difference between the actual sending time and the scheduled time.

NOTE!

To make sure that scheduled PUSH notifications will be sent correctly, check if the time zone of the event set in Basic info is correct.

Have a successful event with Meeting Application!
