What is the Audiovisual Materials module used for?

During many events it is necessary to give your audience access to a number of files, whether they are presentations, detailed reports or folders with photos of previous events. With the Audiovisual Materials module, you can easily make all these files available to your audience.

How to create a folder for items?

Regardless of the purpose of the module, all files must be in catalogs. To add a catalog, select the Add First Audiovisual Catalog button. Enter the name under which viewers will see it, referring to the content that will be in them:

Use the Select User Groups button to manage which groups of participants have access to a particular folder. If the content is reserved, for example, for the VIP group, untag All users. Don't forget to tag VIP people who should have access to it.

Select Add a new item to the catalog to start filling it with content. You will see that a menu has opened on the right side with two options: add file and add link. Use them to choose which item you want to add.

The Add File option allows you to upload files of any type and size. Keep in mind, however, that importing many large files can slow down the application. For items weighing more than 25 mb, we recommend the second option, described below.

The Add Link option will allow you to set the content visible on the button that will lead to the specified link. This can be either a web page or a path to material posted in the cloud, which will be better for managing large files. When leading to the cloud, remember to adjust the settings of the file at the destination. We recommend allowing access for anyone with a link:

Once you have added all the items in the folder, select Save Changes at the bottom of the screen. At any time, you can add more materials again by selecting Add a new item to the catalog. If you want to remove an item from the folder, click the three dots icon to the right of its row, and then select the trash can icon.

If you need more folders, select the New materials catalog option at the bottom right of the page.

Once you've created a few folders, you'll notice that their contents roll up to make it easier to view the folder list. Wanting to see the contents of individual folders, select the "V" icon, which will expand the list of items in it:

You can also change the order of folders by grabbing the name with the mouse and dragging it to another place in the list. On the same rule, you can change the order of items in a folder, but you will not move them from one folder to another:

Have a successful event with Meeting Application!
