Melon collects your agency's agreed share of your earnings so you do not have to send payments manually. You keep your own bank account and your own platform logins. You are charged your agency's percentage — never more.

Getting started

  1. Accept the split invite emailed to you. It shows the agency, the percentage and the platform.

  2. Connect a bank account, if the split needs one. See How do I connect a bank account?.

  3. That is it. Charges happen on the agreed schedule.

You can also skip the account entirely and pay from the link your agency sends. See How do creators pay an invoice.

When you are charged

Depending on the split, either when you cash out from the platform, or on a fixed schedule — weekly, every other week, twice a month, or monthly. Your split page shows which, and when the next charge is due.

Charges appear on your statement as "Melon paid your team!"

How you pay

  • Bank — no fee.

  • Card — 2.9% + $0.30, shown before you confirm.

  • Payment link — no Melon account needed, and the same link works every time.

If you do not have enough

Melon takes 80% of what is available rather than failing the whole charge, and the rest stays as a balance included in the next one. Nothing extra is charged for falling short. See What happens if a creator does not have enough money?.

Disagreeing with a change

Your agency cannot change your percentage on their own. A proposed change appears on your split page for you to approve or reject, and nothing changes until you approve. See How do I edit a split?.

What Melon can and cannot see

Melon reads what it needs to calculate your balance — daily earnings or payout history from the connected platform, and deposits on splits that watch your bank. It cannot post as you, message fans, or move money anywhere other than the agreed split.
