OOC (Out of Character) is a way of communicating in roleplaying where you speak as the player, not as the character, to convey your own intentions, explanations, or requests.
Rather than talking to the character, it is closer to adding direct instructions to the AI.
Since Melting is a service where conversations flow naturally based on the character's settings and world-building, OOC is an informal request method that differs somewhat from the standard way of chatting.
Q. Will my OOC request always be reflected?
OOC is processed as part of normal conversation, not as a separate system command. Even if the AI understands your message, it may only partially reflect or not reflect it at all if it conflicts with character settings, safety standards, or output limitations.
Additionally, Melting has protective guidelines in place to prevent unintended exposure of the character's settings and internal information created by the creator. Because of this, some OOC requests may conflict with these safeguards and not work as expected.

You may feel that OOC settings you applied are no longer being reflected at some point. This is not because the settings were deleted or reset, but rather because the AI was unable to fully reference the OOC instructions at that moment.
In particular, as the AI is improved to be more immersed in the character, it tends to prioritize maintaining the character's settings, which may make it seem like OOC instructions are less reflected.
