Step 1: Get the MV Sidekick
Find the MV Sidekick in the Template Library and download the file.
Step 2: Set it up in Claude
Open Claude (or download the desktop app). Create a new Project and add the Sidekick file to it. Every chat you start in that Project now knows MemberVault.
Step 3: Create your freebie
Your quiz needs somewhere to send people when they finish. Create a free product in MemberVault for the gift they'll get, like a guide, a roadmap, or a mini-lesson.
Choose the email list or tag new sign ups should go to, so every quiz-taker lands on your list.
Add a short intake form as your first lesson, called Start Here. A few quick questions tell you where each new subscriber is starting and what they need. How to set up an intake form
Copy the product's link. You'll need it in the next step.
Step 4: Tell the Sidekick what you want
Start a new chat in your Project and describe your quiz. Include:
Your quiz title and who it's for
How many questions (5 to 10 works well)
Your result types, like Ready to Launch, Almost There, and Just Getting Started
The link to your freebie, for the button at the end of each result
Your brand colors (hex codes) and a link to your logo
Ask for one block of code you can paste into a MemberVault page. The Sidekick may ask you a few questions first. Answer them, and it will write your quiz.
Step 5: Add the quiz to a MemberVault page
Create a new page in MemberVault, open the code view (it looks like <>), and paste in the code from the Sidekick. Preview it, and take the quiz yourself to check every result. How to use MV's Pages feature
Step 6: Make changes by asking
Want different wording, colors, or another question? Ask the Sidekick for the change, then paste the new code in. If something looks off after you paste, tell the Sidekick what you see and it will fix it.
Step 7: Share your quiz
Add it to your site menu and announcement bar
Send it to your email list
