We’ll dive deep into the inner workings of the integration and how these two platforms “talk” to each other along with some examples to help you make sense of our email integration feature.

So the most important piece of the email puzzle, and also the first thing that you’ll need to do in order to take advantage of all the awesome features is for you to connect your MV account with ConvertKit.

Here’s how:
1. Log in to your MV account and go to Integrations > Email:

2. Choose ConvertKit from the dropdown menu:

3. A few form field areas will appear and you’ll need to enter the correct API Key and API Secret:

4. In order to get the API Key and the API Secret, you’ll need to log into your ConvertKit account. Go to your profile > Account Settings:

Once you’ve filled the form with the needed information, click ‘Save Email Settings’. You'll now see the success message that says 'ConvertKit Connected':

And that’s it! Well done -- You’ve now successfully connected your account with ConvertKit. 🙌

Next, you’ll need to go to each product that you’ve created and select a specific ConvertKit form that you wish to add your users to.

To do this, go to the product edit section, scroll down a bit until you see the ConvertKit Form menu area and you can select a form from the dropdown menu:

When you connect your ConvertKit account with MV, it enables our system to pull the form that you’ve created in ConvertKit and populate it inside your MV account.

Now each time someone purchases that particular product, their name and email will automatically get added to the specified ConvertKit form without you having to lift a finger.

NOTE: Adding your user to a Form will ensure that they’ll be entered into any of the automation that you set up and receive your emails moving forward.

ConvertKit won’t send any email to subscribers who don't join a form as they see it as a sign that these people don’t give permission/consent to do so, which is why it’s a good idea to add them to a ConvertKit form each time you create a product to account for your new email subscribers.

You're now able to use our Actions feature to apply tags to your contact profile in ConvertKit.

Once you’ve added a tag, it will then be automatically created inside your ConvertKit account so next time you log into your account, you’ll see that it’s already there.

This tag can then be used as a trigger for your automation such as sending a welcome email and further organize your email subscribers so you can send any relevant info to them.

Again, this is made possible by the simple fact that you’ve connected your ConvertKit account with MV. 🙌

🚨 You’ll need to be on ConvertKit’s paid plan in order to enable their automation feature. If you’re on the free plan, you’ll need to upgrade to get access and set up your Automation.
