When you're first getting started with creating and hosting digital content with a platform like MemberVault, one of the first things you'll need an understanding of is how your content is 'packaged' - the anatomy of your offer, if you will.

Video Walkthrough (5 mins)

All content in MemberVault is created by way of products.

The anatomy of a product in MV works like this:

Your Product is your 'offer'; anything you want someone to either opt-in to or purchase.

Each Product includes Modules which are essentially the 'categories' of content within your product.

Each Module includes Lessons and lessons are where your actual content is shared & organized. Lessons are where you add your written content, upload files, embed videos, ask quiz questions, etc.

So, for example, if my product was focused on teaching someone how to play the fiddle - I might have a module titled "Getting Started" and within that module, I would divide my teachable content into 3 lessons:

  • The History of the Fiddle

  • Purchasing the Best Fiddle for You

  • How to Take Care of Your Fiddle

At a minimum, any product you create should have at least 1 module and each module should have at least 1 lesson.

All products follow the same anatomy/structure.

Regardless of if you are creating a course, a challenge, a membership, etc. - you are still creating a product that will contain modules and within those modules, lessons.
