As of Sunday, September 24th, 2023, we started receiving notifications from Facebook that content was being removed if it included the .vipmembervault.com root domain. Both for us, and for our account owners.

It's clearly an automated bot sweep that is impacting other tools like bit.ly, Linktree and Shopify (and could potentially impact any tool that has a root domain attached to your subdomain), along with search terms that Facebook has deemed against their community guidelines. We've seen reports of large groups being closed, and posts without links being removed, during this newest bot sweep.

If you're impacted, you'll see a notification like the below in your Facebook notifications.

Because of this ban, you won't be able to share any links to Facebook or Instagram that include .vipmembervault.com. We've done all that we can from our end to remove the ban, and unfortunately Meta isn't exactly helpful.

BEST OPTION (but takes more time) - This link removal does NOT impact custom domains, so let's get you on a custom domain ASAP.

A custom domain will NOT break your old links, as Mike redirects them, so it's a seamless process that will make your MemberVault look more pro and will also allow you to start posting links again on Facebook/Instagram.

QUICK FIX OPTION - If you don't want to deal with a custom domain set up right now, that's fine! You can start sharing your links on Facebook/Instagram again, immediately. You just need to follow the below steps.

We've changed our root domain from .vipmembervault.com to .mvsite.app. All you need to do is take your subdomain and swap out .vipmembervault.com to .mvsite.app. Tada! You can now share on Facebook/Instagram again.

So for example:

https://courses.vipmembervault.com becomes https://courses.mvsite.app

https://emailsimsending.vipmembervault.com becomes https://emailsimsending.mvsite.app

And to get to your admin login, you'll add /admin to the end, so for example, https://emailsimsending.mvsite.app/admin

This will NOT impact people who have a custom domain, and all .vipmembervault.com links will redirect to the new .mvsite.app.

So this is purely a solve to help you bypass the Facebook/Instagram link ban.

None of these will help you recover content that has been removed by Facebook, as that is out of our control. We've had hundreds of high value posts removed from the Collaborative, from the past few years, so we understand how upsetting this is!

It's another reason we're extra excited about our upcoming community feature where important content and discussions won't be able to be removed on a whim by a social media giant. We don't have an ETA on this feature but know that it's a high priority for us!
