Session requests and viewing your mentee's profile

Here how's to respond to incoming session requests from mentees and view their profiles.

As a mentor, mentees will either be able to request a session from your existing availability, or suggest a new time for a session.

When a request or suggestion is made, you will be notified by email.

You can manage your session requests by accessing your Sessions tab. From here, you will be able to view all requested and confirmed sessions, and past, cancelled and future sessions.


Viewing your mentee's profile

When a session is requested, you will be able to review the mentee that requested it, the date and time, as well as their message that will explain what they would like to discuss in the session.

To view your mentee's profile, simply click on their profile image on the session request. You will be brought to their profile where you can review things like their bio, skills, short and long term goals.

Good to know: You will either be matched with a mentee who will book sessions with you, or you will be available for sessions to all mentees within the program.

Unsure which applies to you? If you have the Matches tab, then your program will have you matched with someone. If you don't have the Matches tab, then your program is offering 'a la carte' mentoring, in which mentees have a wide selection of mentors (including you!) to choose from.


Responding to your request

To accept a request, simply click Accept on the session request. By accepting, the mentee will be notified, and both of you will receive an email to confirm the booking. You will also see it under Sessions > Future.

If you decline a booking request, the mentee will be notified, and the session request will be removed from your Sessions tab.


Messaging your mentee

You can start chatting with your mentor by either clicking 'view discussion' on your individual session, or by accessing your Messaging tab.

The discussion or message thread with your mentor will be active before, during and after your session. Any messages sent during the video session will be synced to your thread - so all communication will stay in one place!

Good to know: You can also send attachments to your mentor by clicking the paper clip icon beside the text box.


Need to cancel?

If something unforeseen comes up and you need to cancel, you'll able to do so by clicking on the 3 dots on the session and provide a reason for the cancellation.

Your mentee will be notified by email and the session will appear under Sessions > Cancelled.
