We send email notifications to hiring managers and interviewers for two use cases:
Application notifications: Unattended applications over the last 24h
Interview notifications: Interview lifecycle events (e.g. new interview booked)
Application notifications
By default, every job's Hiring Manager receives an email notification on weekdays, if there are any unattended applications over the previous 24h.
Unattended means that the application has not been viewed (i.e. no one has clicked on the application to open the side panel), moved, or archived by anyone.
As soon as anyone views, moves, or archives an application, it will no longer be included in this email notification.
Interview notifications
For 1-on-1 interviews, we send an email notification when...
a candidate books a new interview
a candidate reschedules an interview
a candidate cancels an interview
We send these email notifications to the relevant Interviewer. If the Interviewer is set to 'Manager on Duty', then we send these email notifications to the job's Hiring Manager.
We only send Interview notifications for 1-on-1 interviews. For group interviews, please check the 'Agenda' view in the Mercu portal.
