The Divide Schedule feature allows you to split an existing schedule into smaller, more manageable schedules. This is especially helpful for breaking down large blocks (like quarterly schedules) into monthly schedules, or when you need to extract only certain filtered shifts.

How to Divide a Schedule

Step 1 – Open the Schedule Tools

From your schedule view, click the three-dot menu on the left panel. Then select Extract new schedule.

Step 2 – Set the Time Period or Shifts

In the Divide Schedule window, enter the start and end dates for the new schedule.

  • You can choose to include All shifts or just the Currently filtered shifts.

  • Optionally, give the new schedule a name (e.g., “September”).

Step 3 – Confirm and Create

Click Divide Schedule to generate the new schedule. The system will extract the selected portion and create a separate schedule in your list.

When to Use This Feature

  • Monthly Breakdowns: Split long schedules into smaller chunks for easier editing and review.

  • Filtered Schedules: Create a new schedule based on only certain roles, departments, or shift types.

  • Testing or Drafting: Work on part of a schedule separately before merging or publishing.

The Divide Schedule tool gives admins more control and flexibility over how schedules are managed, making it easier to focus on exactly what matters.
