What is a scheduling period?

Written by Ethan

A Scheduling Period is a specific timeframe that contains a set of shifts that are all meant to be assigned at the same time.

How a Scheduling Period Works

  • Template Baseline: When you create a new schedule, Mesh AI pulls from your Team Template to automatically populate that specific period with empty shifts.

  • Admin Flexibility: Once the empty shifts are generated, administrators can manually add extra shifts or delete unnecessary ones to fit the current block's needs.

  • Filling the Roster: To assign staff to the empty shifts, admins have two choices:

    • Manually: Assigning a specific team member to each shift one by one.

    • Automatically: Using the Mesh AI Autoscheduler to instantly fill and optimize the entire period based on your workplace rules.
