Publishing empty schedules or unassigned shifts to allow associates to pick them up

Written by Ethan

Mesh AI provides administrators with four distinct methodologies for schedule creation, including a self-scheduling model that allows associates to select their own shifts.

Workflow for Unassigned Publishing

Instead of pre-assigning staff, administrators can publish a schedule where shifts remain empty or blank. Once published, these shifts become available for associates to claim directly based on your department's specific protocols:

  • Rule-Based Selection: Associates pick shifts according to pre-established departmental guidelines or quotas.

  • First-Come, First-Served: Shifts are claimed by members as they become available until all gaps are filled.
