When adding members to a new Community Savings and Lending group it is very important to capture the phone number for each member. This allows us to link the member into the group and gives the following benefits:
They are sent a welcome message that explains the benefits of MiKashBoks
They are sent a link to download MiKashBoks (if they have a smart phone)
They are able to receive SMS notifications on group transactions, upcoming meetings, and loan repayments
Members must opt-in to receiving our SMS notifications and while they can participate in a group without the SMS, they lose an important benefit.
It is easiest to capture all of the group members phone numbers when sending the invitations during the group creation process, however this may not be possible.
The group admin can also link members into a group after the group has started transacting. The steps to do so are below:
 You will see the number of unlinked members as a milestone under your 'What's Next' section. |  You will also see the same information on your Members tab. |  Find the member you want to link and click 'Link Member'. |
 You will be prompted to provide a phone number. |  Enter the phone number and click update. |  Click update member, making sure the toggle is switched over to 'Yes, Invite'. |
 MiKashBoks will send the member a welcome message and a verification code. |  The verification code is seen above. |  Enter the verification code and click submit. The member is now linked to your group. |
