In order to connect to your Instagram channel it would be important to do 3 things:
1) Switch your IG account to a Business or a Creator one.
Why? Only these types of profiles are able to provide us with constantly updating statistics. A basic account wouldn't work.
How to switch your account?
In the Instagram mobile app, go to your profile, and then select the menu in the top right.
Select Settings, then Account and then scroll to the bottom.
If you have a Personal account: Select Switch to a professional account, and then choose Business.
If you have a Creator account: Select Switch account type, and then Switch to the business account.
2) You will need to link your IG business account to a FB Page.
FB Page is a sub-project for your main FB account. We can't link the IG account directly to your FB Profile which is why we will need to create a FB Page or link it to an already existing one (if you have one). Below I'll explain how we can do it:
How to create a Page
Go to facebook.com/pages/create.
Enter a Page name and Category. You can also add a Page bio.
Click Create Page.
If you want to customize your Page, you can add your bio, a profile picture, and a cover photo.
Click Done.
Once you are on your FB Page please navigate to:
Settings & Privacy > Settings > Linked accounts > and connect there your Instagram.
3) Allow all permissions on while your IG connection on the platform.
Once you did 1st and 2nd step you can get back to the platform and connect your IG channel to the platform. You will see a FB Login Page since your IG Business account is linked to a FB Page. Please provide there creds from your FB Page.
In this step, we will need to allow all permissions since we will need to collect and display the statistics from your IG account. Be sure to check if all of them are allowed.
