Find out how US market holidays and early closes affect trading on MILTRADERS.

MILTRADERS follows the official CME Group trading calendar. On US market holidays, futures markets may be fully closed or operate on a shortened schedule (early close).

Main US holidays that affect trading hours: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day (and Day After β€” early close), Christmas Eve (early close) and Christmas Day.

Important rules during holidays:

The Inactivity Rule (30 calendar days without a trade) continues to count during holiday periods.

Holiday days do not count as Minimum Trading Days for evaluations.

Liquidity is often thinner during holiday-affected sessions β€” be cautious with order types and position sizes.

For the official up-to-date schedule, refer to the CME Group calendar at cmegroup.com.
