Prepare your Student Data and Upload your List
You can set temporary passwords for multiple students at once by importing a formatted spreadsheet into the People Dashboard. This is the most efficient way to handle login issues for large groups or entire classes.

Step-by-step guide to Setting Bulk Passwords
Create an Excel or CSV spreadsheet containing two columns: one for Student ID Numbers (or Email Addresses) and one for the Temporary Passwords you wish to assign.
Open the People Dashboard and click the Import List button.
Upload or drag your CSV/Excel file into the designated upload area.
Select Update fields if they already exist from the dropdown menu to ensure you are modifying current accounts rather than creating duplicates.
Verify that the ID Number/Email and Password headers from your file match the system fields.
Check the box for First Row Contains Headers if your spreadsheet includes a title row.
Click Import List to process the changes, then select Done once the confirmation message appears.
Tip: Passwords must be a combination of letters and numbers. We recommend using a combination of the student's name and their ID number so it is easy for them to remember.
Additional Features or Settings
Students can change these temporary passwords in their own profile settings once they have successfully logged in. This allows you to provide a secure initial entry point while giving students control over their own account security moving forward.

The passwords didn't update after the import.
If the passwords did not update, ensure that you selected Update fields if they already exist from the dropdown menu. If you leave the default import settings, the system may skip records that already have an existing ID Number.
The system says my file format is not supported.
You must save your spreadsheet as a .csv or .xlsx file. If you are using Google Sheets, go to File > Download and select Comma Separated Values (.csv) before attempting the upload again.
