Community Board

Create interactive learning communities inside your course

Community board lets you add discussions, reflections, and peer interaction directly into your course. Learners can ask questions, share ideas, and engage with each other without leaving your course.

You can use it for:

  • Q&A and discussions

  • Announcements and updates

  • Learner reflections

  • Peer-to-peer help

  • Collecting testimonials

  • Sharing resources

Adding Community Board

On your Mini Course's edit page, click on Actions to add a Community board.

You can add Community board to:

  • Courses

  • Completion pages

  • Landing pages

You can create a new community board or use an existing one.

💡 The same Community board can be added to multiple pages. All posts and comments stay shared.

ℹ️ A sample post appears when you create a new board. You can edit or delete it.

Settings

You can change the board settings from the settings icon that appears on hover in the edit screen.

Moderation

There are 3 moderation options.

AI Auto (default)

  • Our AI detects inappropriate words and removes post and comments. Works in all languages.

Manual

  • Learner posts and comments require course owner's approval.

None

  • Posts and comments are published immediately without any control.

Permissions

You can control how learners interact with the Community Board using visitor permissions.

Writer

  • Learners can create new posts.

  • Learners can comment on posts.

  • Learners can react to posts.

Commenter

  • Learners cannot create new posts.

  • Learners can comment on existing posts.

  • Learners can react to posts.

Reader

  • Learners can only read posts and comments.

  • No posting, commenting, or reacting is allowed

You can change permissions anytime.

Notifications

Learners get an email when someone comments on their posts.

With Manual moderation:

  • Course owner gets an email when a post or comment is submitted.

  • Learners get an email when their post or comment is approved.

ℹ️ If your course is public, a learner’s name appears as Guest. Change the course access method to display learner names on posts.

Edit posts and comments

The course owner can edit or delete any post or comment.

Learners cannot edit or delete their own posts or comments.

AI Summary

AI Summary analyzes long threads and generates concise summaries. It helps you understand learner sentiment quickly.
