Variable Pricing allows a 3PL warehouse to automatically add an uplift to be applied to a courier service pricing where the connection has an option for automatic Rate Retrieval. When calculating the cost, it first looks at NegotiatedRateCharges and if this is blank, it then looks at ShipmentCharges then the Variable uplift is added on top.
Each Courier Service you wish to uplift must have a rate applied. If a new Courier Service is added to the system, then the new service will need an uplift to be applied.
Currently, the following couriers that support automatic rate retrieval on Mintsoft are:
CSM Logistics.
DHL.
UPS.
EasyPost.
StarShipIt.
Adding an Uplift Rate
To add a Variable Uplift Per Service, please follow the steps below:
Click Shipping Management then Extras.
Next, click Variable Uplift Per Service.
Click Add Variable Uplift Per Service.
(3PL Only) Select the Client or keep as ALL.
Select the Courier Service.
Select the Country or Shipping Zone.
Set the Uplift Type to Apply.
FlatRate: will add a set amount to each shipment.
Percentage: will increase the cost by a given margin.
Set the Uplift Rate.
(Optional) Enable VAT Free.
Finally, click Add.
Editing an Uplift Rate
To edit an existing uplift, please follow the steps below:
Click Shipping Management then Extras.
Next, click Variable Uplift Per Service.
Click Edit against the entry to want to update.
Make any changes needed.
Finally, click Update.
Deleting an Uplift Rate
To delete an existing uplift, please follow the steps below:
Click Shipping Management then Extras.
Next, click Variable Uplift Per Service.
Click Delete against the entry to want to remove.
