What are Sub-Clients?

Note: If you are looking for Sub Clients regarding courier labels, please review the Client Courier Label article.

Please note that the Sub-Clients Module does not support stock or product sharing between sub-clients. Additionally, each sub-client must have its own separate 3PL invoice generated. The primary function of the module is to allow a client user to view and manage data across multiple sub-clients under one main (master) account.

This setup is especially useful for fulfilment centres managing multiple brands that operate under a single parent company.

How to set up Sub-Clients

To set up a Sub-Client, please do the following:

  1. Click Clients then Overview.

  2. Find the client you want to set as a Master (The main client).

  3. Click Action and then Edit.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page turn the Master to ON.

  5. Next, click Save.

Once you've done that, you'll then need to edit the Sub-Clients to associate them with the main client:

  1. Click Clients then Overview.

  2. Find the client you want to set as the Sub-Account (Connected to the main client).

  3. Click Action and then Edit.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and enter the name of the Master into MasterClientID.

  5. Next, click Save.

Those two clients are now linked. For any Client user accounts that you set up against the master client, you'll need to make sure you enable the ClientMaster role. This will let that user see and filter by the underlying client data:

  1. Click Settings then Client User Accounts.

  2. Find the client user.

  3. Click Actions then ManageRoles.

  4. Enable the ClientMaster role.

  5. Click Update.

Any user accounts you set up against the Sub-Clients will only have access to that client's data.
