You can use the Transfer Inventory feature to move stock to various locations within the same or different warehouses. To change this, you would need to edit the order, remove the item from the order and once stock is moved, edit the order and then add the items back.
Manually Transfer Stock
To transfer stock from one location to another, please do the following:
Click Warehouse then Transfer Inventory.
(3PL Only) Select the Client.
Select the Product.
Select the Origin Warehouse.
Next, select the Destination Warehouse.
Choose the Destination Location.
You can then tick which stock to transfer.
(Optional) Add a Comment.
Finally, click Transfer.
Transfer Stock in Bulk Using CSV Upload
You can also transfer inventory in bulk using a CSV template:
Before starting the CSV upload process, ensure the warehouse status is active if the stock is in an inactive location. This step prevents transfer errors and helps the system recognize the source location.
Click Warehouse then Extras.
Next, click Upload Bulk Warehouse Spreadsheets.
Select Transfer as the Template, then click Download.
Populate the spreadsheet to your requirements.
If transferring from Unassigned leave the LocationTransferFrom field blank.
Save the spreadsheet as a CSV.
Back on Mintsoft select Transfer as the Type to upload.
Browse for the spreadsheet then click Upload. After completing the transfer process, you may choose to deactivate the old warehouse if it is no longer in use, helping maintain a clean and organized system. Tips for conducting accurate transfers:
Always verify stock quantities and locations before initiating transfers.
Use the 'Products in Location' report to ensure proper allocation of inventory.
Complete all pending pick jobs or approvals to minimize errors during the transfer process.
Troubleshooting Stock Transfer Issues
Bulk Stock Transfer Errors
Symptom
The bulk stock transfer process errors out, and the system does not move stock to the intended location.
Cause
The most common reason for this issue is using an incorrect or unrecognized "location name" in the transfer file.
Resolution Steps
Open your transfer file and verify that the "location name" entries exactly match the names registered in Mintsoft.
Correct any discrepancies in the naming and reattempt the bulk transfer process. By ensuring alignment between the file inputs and Mintsoft's registered locations, you can avoid errors during transfers.
