Shopify - Webhooks overview

The following information applies to the Shopify integration with Mintsoft.


Using Webhooks

Note: We do not recommend using Webhooks if you are using Plugins like Shopify Flow or similar.

If you tick the option to use webhooks this will override the stated delay periods and instead import orders directly from Shopify when a notification is received of successful order payment. If you want to stop orders importing with webhooks you will need to contact support to remove the webhook connection from the account.


Enabling Webhooks

To enable Webhooks for the Shopify integration please follow the steps below:

  1. Click Connect then Order Integrations.

  2. Next, Click Shopify.

  3. Then, click Edit on the affected connection.

  4. Scroll down to the Webhooks Toggle.

  5. Turn the Webhooks Toggle On.


Cancellation Webhooks

When using Webhooks it's also possible to get cancellations from Shopify. This will then cancel the order in Mintsoft if it's in a valid status to be cancelled - As per Customer Account Settings. Otherwise, it will raise an alert advising that the order has been cancelled in Shopify and needs to be stopped manually.

Note: Cancel Orders Webhooks doesn't work if there isn't a webhook set initially.


Enabling the Cancel Orders Webhook

To enable Cancel Orders Webhook for the Shopify integration please follow the steps below:

  1. Click Connect then Order Integrations.

  2. Next, Click Shopify.

  3. Then, click Edit on the affected connection.

  4. Scroll down to the Webhooks Toggles.

  5. Turn On the Cancel Orders Webhook.


Removing Shopify Webhooks

To remove Shopify webhooks on Mintsoft, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.
