Overview
Please note, only Warehouse Users are able to process returns, (3PL Only) Client Users are unable to process returns.
Process a return
To input a return into Mintsoft, please do the following:
Click Returns then Input Return.
Enter the Order ID.
If the order returns with the despatch note, you could scan this to populate the information.
Alternatively turn ON Include Order Number, External Order Reference, Name and Postcode and search with that attribute instead.
If this is enabled, you can also turn ON the Exact Match Only toggle, for an exact match instead of multiple results being returned.
Next, click Search.
Multiple results may be returned, if so, click Select against the correct Order.
The next screen will allow you to scan in the items.
Within the Scan To Return screen, set the Destination Warehouse then click Save.
There are two methods for inputting returned items -
Scan Return Item.
Manually select items to return.
Please review the methods below for more information then return here.
Once ready, click Return Selected.
Next, click Confirm.
Scan Return Item
If the items are barcoded you can scan the item:
Scan the item to return.
The barcode will appear in the Barcode field.
Select the Reason.
Set the Quantity.
(Optional) Add any Comments.
Maximum of one hundred characters allowed.
Next, click Scan and repeat for any additional items.
Finally, choose the Requested Customer Action within the Return section.
Manually select items to return
To manually select items to return from an order, please do the following:
Within the Scan To Return screen scroll down to the Return section.
Tick the item(s) to return.
Set the Quantity.
Select the Return Reason.
Choose the Requested Customer Action.
Complete a return and assign returns to locations
The final stage of the return is to assign the stock to a location, this is optional.

If you don't want to assign the return to a location, click Confirm Return (The products stock flow will not show the item as returned until after the Confirm Return button has been pressed). To assign a location to the return, by default, the system shows you the existing default pick location of the product. If you use the drop down all other existing locations are shown. Click Assign. When all returned stock is assigned to a location, click Confirm Return.
Process exchange
To process an exchange, please do the following:
Click Returns then Overview.
Find the return.
Click Actions then Create New Exchange.
Check the exchanged items and quantity.
(Optional) Add additional items if required.
Click the Customer Details tab.
Confirm the address details.
Finally, click Create Exchange.
A new order/ exchange will be created.
Invoice returns
To invoice a return:
Click the Return overview page then select the order you want to invoice.
Click Invoice then click Go.
Multi returns
You can make multiple returns per order via the Mintsoft app only as this feature is not available on the web-based portal.
Note: It's not possible to undo or modify returns once complete.
Record BBE date, serial and batch number
Currently, it's only possible to log BBE date, serial and batch numbers on the web-based portal. The Mintsoft app doesn't have the required fields at the moment to record this information.
Deleting a return
To delete or remove a return from Mintsoft, you will first need to have the AdminDeleteReturn role added to your Warehouse User Account:
Click Settings then Warehouse User Accounts.
Search for the user.
Click Actions then Manage Roles.
Expand the Admin-Returns role group.
Tick AdminDeleteReturn.
Finally, click Update at the bottom of the screen.
Once the role has been added to your account you can delete a return if required. Deleting a return is done by ticking the return within the Manage Returns screen and then selecting Delete from the Bulk Actions drop-down.
