Overview
It is possible to select a default courier for individual products so that when they are ordered, the default courier service will always get applied regardless of shipping rules or mapping setup. You can allocate the shipping service to specific products
Setting a default courier against a product
To set a default courier against a product, please do the following:
Click Products then Overview.
Search for the product.
Next, click Actions then Edit.
Click the Defaults tab then select Courier Defaults.
Select the CourierService.
Select the Country.
Choose the CourierServiceType or leave it as ALL.
(Optional) Turn on MultiLine.
Useful if you want the rule applied to orders containing multiple SKUs.
Finally, click Add.
This method will override any rules or mapping setup separately.
Setting a default courier against products in bulk
To set a default courier against products in bulk, please do the following:
Click Products then Extras.
Next, click Upload Additional Info.
Select CourierServiceDefaults as the Template.
There are four columns of data required by the template:
SKU.
Courier Service: The name of the courier service as setup in Mintsoft.
Country: Destination country of the order for this to apply. Can be country name or short code e.g. United States or US.
MultiLine: Enter TRUE if the rule is to apply to multi-line orders, otherwise enter FALSE.
Once you have populated the spreadsheet, click Save.
Back on Mintsoft within the Upload SpreadSheet section.
(3PL Ony) Select the Client.
Pick Type as CourierServiceDefaults.
Choose your file and press Upload.
Deleting all Courier Service Defaults in bulk
If you wish to delete all courier service defaults in bulk, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article. Our support team can remove the rule for all products in bulk (For 3PLs we can filter by the Client)
Reporting on Courier Service Defaults
Mintsoft has a report listing the Courier Service Defaults against all products. To view this, please do the following:
Click Reports then Overview.
Next, click Product Default CourierService.
Found within the Product Related Reports section.
This report shows all the default courier services set against products in Mintsoft.
