Cartons and Pallets - Managing/ Transferring Inventory

The following information applies to the Cartons and Pallets module in Mintsoft.


Manage inventory

  1. Click Cartons & Pallets then Overview.

  2. Find the pallet or carton you want to review.

  3. Click Actions then Manage Inventory.

  4. Select the stock action:

    • Transfer stock into this carton/pallet - Add stock from a picking location into the selected carton or pallet

    • Transfer stock out of this carton/pallet - Move stock from a selected carton or pallet to a picking location or another carton or pallet

    • Adjustment - Add stock found in the warehouse with no location to the selected carton or pallet. Adjustment overrides the stock level rather than transferring stock

Transfer stock into this carton/pallet

  1. Select the Product.

  2. Select the Warehouse.

  3. Select the specific stock entry to transfer.

  4. Enter a Comment if needed.

  5. Click Transfer.

Transfer stock out of this carton/pallet

  1. Select the Destination Warehouse.

  2. Select the Destination Location (picking location or another carton or pallet).

  3. Select the specific stock entry to transfer.

  4. Enter a Comment if needed.

  5. Click Transfer.

Adjustment

  1. Select the specific stock entry to adjust.

  2. Enter the New Quantity.

  3. Enter a Comment if needed.

  4. Click Adjust Stock.

Note: You can view the contents of a carton or pallet using the drill-down option on the Cartons and Pallets Overview.


Add stock to cartons or pallets in bulk

  1. Click Cartons & Pallets then Extras.

  2. Click Upload Carton/Pallet Stock then Download Template.

  3. Populate the spreadsheet then click Save.

  4. Return to Mintsoft.

  5. Select the Client (3PL only).

  6. Browse for the spreadsheet.

  7. Click Upload.

Note: If you have a pallet with cartons, only enter the carton ID, SKU and quantity. You can also upload product attributes such as best before date, batch number and serial number.


Transfer cartons or pallets

  1. Click Cartons & Pallets then Overview.

  2. Find the pallet or carton you want to review.

  3. Click Actions then Transfer.

This action transfers any stock assigned to that carton or pallet to the new location.

Note: You can also transfer cartons to locations and pallets.


Book inventory to cartons and pallets

  1. Go to Warehouse then Book Inventory.

  2. Select the Client (3PL only).

  3. Select the Product.

  4. Select the Warehouse to adjust the stock within.

  5. Select the Location (carton or pallet) to add or remove stock from.

  6. Enter the Quantity.

  7. Add a Comment if needed.

  8. Click the Action dropdown and select the type of movement.

  9. Click Book Stock.

Note: Cartons and pallets appear in the location list, including the code and location.
