When you create your database, Mintsoft creates one warehouse called Main Warehouse by default. You'll need to confirm additional warehouses with your Account Manager before creating them, as these incur additional costs.
Create a new warehouse
Click Warehouse then Manage Warehouses.
Click Add New Warehouse.
(3PL only) Select the Client if the warehouse is client specific. Otherwise, select ALL.
Enter a Name for the warehouse.
Enter a Code (for example, Main or Backup).
Enter relevant information in the Details field (for example, 'Used for storage only').
Turn the Active toggle to ON.
Note: If you create a warehouse without activating it, you'll need to raise a support case for us to activate it.
Configure warehouse settings
After creating your warehouse, configure these settings as needed:
Allow Transfers In - Allows stock transfers from other warehouses into this warehouse.
Allow Allocated and Quarantine Transfers - Allows transfers of allocated and quarantined stock to other locations.
Allow Unassigned Locations - Enables use of unassigned locations in your warehouse.
Allocate Based On Location Type Priority - Allocates stock to orders based on location type priority.
Include Allocated Stock In Replen Point - Includes allocated stock when viewing replenishment tasks.
Prepend Warehouse Name To Location Names - Shows warehouse name at the start of location names on despatch notes.
Verify Locations When Mobile Picking - Requires pickers to verify locations during mobile picking.
Stop Despatched Orders Being Cancelled - Prevents cancellation of orders once despatched from this warehouse.
Reverse Shelf Sorting on Warehouse Map - Shows bays at the top (ON) or bottom (OFF) of the warehouse map.
Generate Stock Out Events - Creates stock flow entries when booking stock out (shows as OUT flow).
Type - Select Normal (default), Bonded, or FBA. Bonded warehouses are used for Descartes E-Customs integration.
