Product Management - Create a product

This guide explains how to add products to your warehouse system, including setting up product details, categories, and images.


Add a new product

Create individual products with all their associated information.

  1. Go to Products then click Add New Product.

  2. Complete the required details on each tab (see sections below for detailed information).

  3. Click Next to save the product.

Note: To add multiple products at once, you can upload them via spreadsheet. See our article on uploading products via spreadsheets.


General tab

Enter basic product information. Only the SKU and Name fields are required, but adding complete information helps with inventory management.

Required fields

  • SKU: Enter a unique product identifier (maximum 75 characters).

  • Name: Enter the product name (maximum 99 characters).

Optional fields

  • Client: Select the client this product belongs to (3PL warehouses only).

  • EAN Barcode: Enter the barcode in EAN format.

  • UPC Barcode: Enter the barcode in UPC format.

  • Description: Add a detailed product description.

  • Customs Description: Enter a brief description for customs (maximum 50 characters). If left blank and required by the courier, the system uses the description or name instead.

  • Country Of Manufacture: Specify the country of origin for customs information.

  • Discontinued: Mark products as discontinued (see our article on discontinuing products).

  • ImageURL: Add a URL to display a product image. The URL must be publicly accessible online.


Pricing and size tab

While no fields are mandatory on this tab, we recommend entering the product weight to help with courier rules and shipping label creation.


Extra details tab

Configure additional product settings and options.

  • Low Stock Alert Level: Threshold for low stock notifications.

  • Infinite Stock: Toggle for unlimited stock.

  • Handling Time - Days: Processing time before shipment.

  • Tote Capacity: Max units per tote for batch picking. When the tote is at capacity, you will be required to use another tote.

  • Additional parcels required when despatching: Extra parcels needed when shipping the product.

  • Units Per Parcel: Maximum units packed per parcel.

  • Packing Instructions: Special packing notes.

  • Best Before Date Warning Period in Days: Days before expiry to warn.

  • Packaging: Toggle for product as packaging material.

  • PalletSizes (comma-separated): Pallet dimensions.

  • UN Number - 4 Digit Number Hazardous Materials: UN hazardous goods number.

  • Material: Product material composition.

  • Categories: Multi-select product categories.

  • Suppliers: Multi-select product suppliers.


Picking/Storage cost tab

Available for Fulfilment and 3PL warehouses only. These settings override the default picking costs configured per client. For more information, see:


Hazardous Details tab

If you ship dangerous goods, please use this tab to provide the required information for shipping.

Note: These fields are only required if you ship hazardous goods.

  • Hazardous UN Number.

  • Class.

  • Proper Shipping Name.

  • Packing Code.

  • Tunnel Code.

  • Limited Quantity.

  • Full Proper Shipping Code.

  • Content ID.

  • Litres Per Unit.

  • Packaging Description.

  • Packaging Instructions.

  • Freezing Point.

Additional Tabs


Add product images

You can add images to products in two ways.

Upload an image file

  1. Go to Products then click Overview.

  2. Click Actions then click Upload Image.

  3. Click Upload File and select an image from your device.

Add an image URL

  1. Go to Products then click Overview.

  2. Click Actions then click Edit.

  3. On the General page, scroll to the ImageURL field and enter the image URL.

Tip: Use image URLs to display product images from supplier websites or other online sources.


Product categories

Categories help you organize products and create targeted rules.

Create a product category

  1. Go to Products then click Extras.

  2. Click Product Categories.

  3. For 3PL warehouses, select a specific Client or keep as ALL.

  4. Enter a Name for the category.

  5. Click Add.

Delete a product category

  1. Go to Products then click Extras.

  2. Click Product Categories.

  3. Click Delete next to the category you want to remove.
