What are Connectors?
Connectors are secure, two-way bridges between le Chat and your external data sources or favorite SaaS tools.
With Connectors, you can ask le Chat to retrieve, analyze, and act on your data on your behalf.
📌 For instance, you can ask le Chat to draft an email using your favorite email service, schedule a meeting in your Calendar, or find a document in your cloud storage.
Which Connectors are available in le Chat?
Le Chat offers two types of Connectors:
first-party Featured Connectors (including RAG Connectors known as “knowledge” Connectors)
third-party MCP Connectors, based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and available in a dedicated directory or via custom configuration
Featured Connectors
Mistral AI officially supports and maintains a range of Featured Connectors, available directly in le Chat’s interface.
The list includes the following, with new ones added regularly:
Gmail
Google Calendar
Google Drive (under beta roll out for Team & Enterprise plans)
Microsoft Sharepoint (under beta roll out for Team & Enterprise plans)
Outlook
GitHub
Box
Notion
Atlassian
Stripe
Linear
🔑 Some of these Connectors are rolling out in open beta. That means they’re currently being tested by a subset of customers and will be available to more users soon. Interested in joining the beta? Contact our support team to request early access.
Third-party Connectors
When you need to connect third-party services, or even your own internal tools, third-party Connectors come into play.
Based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open, industry-wide standard, these Connectors must be configured by an Organization admin before they can be used (le Chat Free/Pro/Student solo users are admin by default).
They come in two options:
pre-configured MCP Connectors, provided by third-party vendors in a dedicated directory
Custom Connectors that you can configure yourself for additional flexibility
🚨 While we review the MCP Servers that are featured in our Connectors directory, they are not Mistral AI Products. They are provided by third parties, and Mistral AI is not responsible for them. We may remove any Connector at any time without notice.
But enough theory, let’s see how it works in practice!
