Note: The Partners Portal has been deprecated and is no longer available. For API key requests, access, and update notifications, please email partners@mjfreeway.com.
To receive API credentials, you must submit a request. The request process depends on whether you are a client, a partner requesting access to MJ Platform’s sandbox environment, or a partner requesting access to a client’s live site.
This article covers each request process.
For clients requesting an API key for a live site integration
Send an email to our MJ Freeway API team with the following:
To: partners@mjfreeway.com
Subject line: Client API Key Request
Example/suggested message: "Hello, this is [your organization name]. We are requesting an API key to integrate with [integrator name]. Please let us know when the API key is ready. Thank you."
If you're integrating with Weedmaps or Sprout, no Cc is needed — once approved, we'll send the API key directly to you.
If you're integrating with another partner, Cc that partner on your request — once approved, we'll send the API key directly to the partner.
For clients requesting access to their training sandbox
Send an email to our MJ Freeway API team with the following:
To: partners@mjfreeway.com
Subject line: Client Sandbox Access Request
Example/suggested message: "Hello, this is [your organization name]. We would like to request access to our training sandbox environment. Please let us know once it's ready. Thank you."
For partners requesting access to MJ Platform's sandbox environment
Have the client submit the request per the "training sandbox" section above, and ask them to Cc you on the email. We don't provide a separate standalone sandbox for partners — sandbox API credentials are issued to the client's Training Site with the client's approval, then shared with the Cc'd partner.
For partners requesting API access to a client's live site
Have the client submit the request per the "live site integration" section above, with you Cc'd — once approved, we'll send the credentials directly to you. If you're reaching out first, you can email partners@mjfreeway.com with subject "Partner API Key Request – [Client Organization Name]" and we'll follow up with the client to confirm before issuing anything; we'd also recommend the client Cc an org admin on their account for the confirmation.
