MNTN's Macro-Enabled Impression Tracking, part of the Creative Tracking feature, lets you append your third-party impression URLs as macro-enabled impression tags to seamlessly track MNTN ad impressions within your third-party measurement platform.
Depending on your business needs, you can leverage these tags across all campaign ads or add your impression URLs to individual ads/campaigns for flexible data collection.
🧠 Pro Tip: Before implementing your third-party impression URL as a MNTN macro-enabled impression tag, ensure it meets our required formatting.
Using Macro-Enabled Impression Tracking Tags
You might wonder when, how, and where to append your third-party impression URLs to effectively track MNTN ad impressions within your third-party measurement platform.
Don't worry; we've got you covered with the details below.
Using Advertiser-Level Macro-Enabled Impression Tracking
To ensure that all your MNTN ad units and campaigns' impression data flow smoothly to your third-party measurement platform, we recommend appending your impression URLs at the advertiser-level within the Creative Tracking tab as shown below.
Should you append your third-party impression URLs at the advertiser-level, your impression tags will then default across all of your creatives in every one of your MNTN campaigns, which eliminates the need for manual configuration. Detailed implementation instructions can be found below.
If you wish to exclude specific creatives or campaigns from sending impression data to your third-party measurement platform, you can deactivate default tags at the creative level. Instructions for disabling default tags are provided below.
Using Creative-Level Macro-Enabled Impression Tracking
If you plan to use your third-party impression URLs exclusively for one particular creative or campaign, we recommend implementing your third-party impression URL at to your individual ads, what we refer to as creative-level tracking.
This decision guarantees you only send impression data for the specific creatives and campaigns to which these tags are linked. You can find the step-by-step implementation instructions below on how to set up creative-level impression tracking.
💡 Note: MNTN does not generate impression URLs/tags. A third-party vendor must provide all impression tags.
