At MNTN, we prioritize brand safety by exclusively serving ads on high-quality, Living Room Quality Inventory across a curated selection of trusted TV networks. However, we recognize that advertisers may have unique preferences regarding the streaming channels they consider suitable for their brand.

To support these preferences, MNTN provides a TV Network Blocklist—a flexible tool that allows you to prevent ads from appearing on specific networks. This feature enables you to tailor your campaigns by blocking designated networks either for your account as a whole or for individual campaigns.

💡Important Note: Constraining TV inventory limits our ability to reach users wherever they’re watching CTV, which can impact reach and performance. We recommended reaching out to your MNTN Account team to discuss any possible impact to reach and/or performance that may come from your TV Network blocks.

  • Automated vs Manual

    • The Automated Status means you are allowing MNTN to serve your ads MNTN's Automated Optimization

    • The Manual Status means a Network block has manually been put in place in either the Account Level or Campaign Level.

Account (Global) vs Campaign Settings:

Any TV Network blocks set at the Account level will apply automatically to all live campaigns, and cannot be removed from the campaign setting (noted as a "Global" setting).

Any additional Campaign blocks will be in addition to the networks that are "Blocked in Global Settings."

In the above example: ACC Network, Adult Swim, and A&E are blocked in Global Settings (account-level), while ABC & ABC Local News are blocked for this campaign only.

💡Important Note: Constraining TV inventory limits our ability to reach users wherever they’re watching CTV, which can impact reach and performance. We recommend reaching out to your MNTN Account team to discuss any possible impact on reach and/or performance that may come from your TV Network blocks.
