As a part of the Creative Tracking feature, MNTN's Macro-Enabled Visit Tracking allows you to seamlessly integrate MNTN’s Verified Visit reporting with your third-party measurement platform.

Your team can attach third-party webhook URLs across all creative assets in your MNTN campaigns, or to specific MNTN campaigns and creatives. This allows you complete flexibility in determining the MNTN data relayed to your third-party measurement platform.

Implementing Macro-Enabled Visit Tracking URLs

You might wonder when, how, and where to append your third-party webhook URLs to effectively track MNTN verified visits within your third-party measurement platform.

Don't worry, we've outlined those details below.

💡 Note: MNTN's Macro-Enabled Visit Tracking is only compatible with third-party platforms that support webhook tracking tags.

🧠 Pro Tip: Before implementing your third-party webhook URL as a MNTN macro-enabled visit tag, ensure it meets our required formatting.

Using Advertiser-Level Macro-Enabled Visit Tracking

If your team wants to ensure all verified visit data generated by your MNTN campaigns is sent to your third-party measurement platform, consider uploading your third-party webhook URLs at the advertiser-level.

Once your third-party webhook URLs are appended as a MNTN macro-enabled visit tracking tag, the tags will be automatically applied to all of your creatives in every campaign - new and existing. This eliminates manual setup and ensures you effortlessly transmit verified visit data from all your MNTN ads to your third-party measurement platform.

If there are specific creatives or campaigns you'd prefer not to send data to your third-party measurement platform, you can deactivate the default settings at the creative level. Instructions for disabling default tags are provided below.

Using Creative-Level Macro-Enabled Visit Tracking

If you intend to use your third-party webhook URLs exclusively for a single creative or campaign, then append these tags directly on that desired creative within your desired campaign - what we refer to as creative-level tracking.

This choice ensures that you send MNTN verified visit data solely for the creatives and campaigns to which your tag is attached. Implementation details are outlined below.

💡 URL formatting is case-sensitive. If your URL needs capitalization, contact the Platform Experience team via a support request.

Append Macro-Enabled Visit Tracking: Advertiser-Level

There are two ways to implement advertiser-level macro-enabled visit tracking tags:

From Your Account's Creative Tracking Section

🧠 Pro Tip: For simplicity, we recommend appending your tags here.

1️⃣ Select My Account from your dashboard's top-right dropdown menu.

2️⃣ On the left-hand side, select Creative Tracking.

3️⃣ Once here, place your webhook URLs in the section labeled Default Macro-Enabled Visit Tracking.

4️⃣ Click on the green Save Changes button in the bottom right-hand corner once complete.

5️⃣ To place another macro-enabled visit URL, click the + Add New button and repeat steps 3 and 4.

💡 Note: There is no limit to the number of macro-enabled visit tracking URLs you can append.

From Within Your Campaign Shell

1️⃣ Navigate to the Video Creative step of your campaign shell.

2️⃣ On your desired video ad, select the Visit Tracking field from the Tracking Parameters section.

3️⃣ Navigate to the Macro-Enabled Visit Tracking tab and select the Set Up Account Defaults button.

4️⃣ You'll be navigated to the Creative Tracking dashboard.

5️⃣ Once here, place your webhook URLs in the section labeled Default Macro-Enabled Visit Tracking.

6️⃣ Click on the green Save Changes button in the bottom right-hand corner once complete.

7️⃣ To place another macro-enabled visit URL, click the + Add New button and repeat steps 4 and 5.

Appending Macro-Enabled Visit Tracking: Creative-Level

If you only want to use a third-party webhook for a specific campaign or even just one of your creatives, you can handle that easily:

1️⃣ On your video ad, select the Visit Tracking field from the Tracking Parameters section.

2️⃣ Navigate to the Creative-level Visit Tracking field.

3️⃣ Input your third-party platform's webhook URL.

4️⃣ To place another macro-enabled visit URL at the creative-level, select the Add New button and repeat step 3.

5️⃣ Once complete, select the blue Done button in the bottom-right corner to save your tracking tags.

Disabling Account-Wide Macro-Enabled Visit Tracking

Even if you've set up account-wide visit tracking, you don't have to use it for every creative in your account. You can easily toggle off all of your default tags as follows:

1️⃣ Within your campaign shell, select your desired video ad on the Video Creative step.

2️⃣ Select the Visit Tracking field on that ad.

3️⃣ Head to the Macro-Enabled Visit Tracking field.

4️⃣ Toggle the Use Account Defaults off.

5️⃣ Once complete, select the blue Done button in the bottom-right corner to save your changes.

💡Note: If Use Account Default is toggled off, all the tags appended in your Creative Tracking dashboard will be toggled off.

Deleting Default Macro-Enabled Visit Tracking Tags

Suppose your third-party measurement platform provided you with updated webhook URLs or maybe your team no longer works with your third-party measurement platform.

Easily remove old webhook URLs by completing the following:

1️⃣ Select My Account from your dashboard's top-right dropdown menu.

2️⃣ On the left-hand side, select Creative Tracking.

3️⃣ Navigate to the webhook URL you no longer wish to utilize.

4️⃣ Select the red trash can icon next to the associated URL OR select Delete All to remove all of your account's uploaded webhook URLs.

5️⃣ Once complete, click the green Save Changes button in the bottom-right corner of your screen.
