MNTN users who installed their pixels via the Shopify Integration are encouraged to update their MNTN app by March 1st, 2024.

This newest update to the MNTN app will automatically install the MNTN tracking pixel as a theme app extension that can be toggled on/off in a visual editor of your theme.

Not updating your MNTN Shopify App by March 1st, 2024, will not impact performance. Rather, you will need to edit your theme.liquid file manually and delete our code snippet from your store.

This article details how to update the MNTN Shopify app to automatically install the MNTN tracking pixel as a theme app extension.

This update applies only if you've installed your MNTN pixels through MNTN's Shopify Integration. If you have a Shopify-supported site but have installed your MNTN pixels via site direct or GTM means, this update will not apply to you.

You can see if your account has leveraged the integration by navigating to your account's pixels and selecting the Shopify tab. If the API Key has populated, your pixels have been installed using the integration.

To successfully update your MNTN app, please follow the steps outlined in the video below. Please ensure you complete all steps to update your MNTN app successfully.

1️⃣ Navigate to your MNTN Shopify App. You'll notice an Action Required heading.

2️⃣ Select the green Update button

3️⃣ Select Connect Tracking Pixel. Read the directions for further context. Select Got it.

4️⃣ The MNTN Tracking Pixel is now enabled via the theme app extension. Ensure this remains toggled ON. Select Save.

5️⃣ Select Manage app

6️⃣ Select Confirm. You'll notice the MNTN Introductory Video appear. Your update is complete.

7️⃣ After completing the update, Your campaigns will be in an ACTION REQ state. This does not pause your campaign or thwart spending. Our pixel engineering team will review your updated setup within three business hours to confirm pixel placement.
