We’ve updated how the Stories widget works to make it more flexible and powerful. The old "Stories" widget has been removed, and stories are now part of the Carousel widget. This gives you more control and customization in one place.
Combining Stories and Carousel into one widget gives you access to more settings, better control, and a simpler setup. You still get all the benefits of showcasing video stories—just with a smoother experience.
Here’s how to add the new Stories widget:
Go to your Shopify theme editor
Open the editor and choose the page where you want to display your stories.
Add the Moast Carousel widget
From the App blocks, drag and drop the Moast Carousel to your desired spot.
Set the Slide Type to Stories
In the widget settings, look for the "Slide type" option. Change it to Stories.
Save your changes
Once the slide type is set to Stories, your widget will update to show your content in the new stories format. Don’t forget to hit Save!
