How to change a video thumbnail

Learn how to update the thumbnail of your videos in Moast by selecting a frame or uploading your own image.

You can change the thumbnail (cover image) of your videos in Moast to control what shoppers see before they click.

This helps you highlight the best moment in your video and improve engagement.

Steps to change your thumbnail

  • Go to your Media Library

  • Click on the video you want to update

  • Below the video, find the Cover image setting

  • Click the pencil icon

You’ll have two options:

  • Pick a frame from the video

  • Upload a custom image

  • Click Update

Things to Note:

  • Moast videos are vertical by default. For best results, use a thumbnail image with a 9:16 aspect ratio.

  • Recommended size: 1080 x 1920 pixels to ensure it looks sharp on all devices.

  • Using a thumbnail that’s too small or the wrong ratio may result in cropping.
