Understanding Postback Tracking For S2S Integration

We're often integrated with our affiliates by S2S integration (Server to Server) Postback. Postback tracking is the information exchange between two servers when a conversion event happens. It is typically used to send conversion data between the advertiser, affiliate network, publisher, and tracking platform. This article will explain how to understand postback tracking and how it's used.

What is a postback?

A postback is the information exchange between two servers when a conversion event happens. It is sent from the server of the advertiser or affiliate network to the server of the publisher. The postback is then tracked by the receiving party.

What is a postback used for?

Postbacks are used to send information about conversion events to the Publisher's own server or the tracking platform they use. This information can include the customer name, transaction amount, customer IP address, etc.
