Budget- Income Fluctuation

How do I create a budget if my income fluctuates each month? (Contractor/gig work)

If you do not have a consistent income each month, there are a few ways you can use the WizeFi app to budget your money.

  1. Change the date of the income deposit to apply the income received at the end of the month to the following month.

  2. Exclude the synced income transactions from your budget and instead enter a manual transaction with the total income from the previous month.

    1. For example, I made $3,500 January 5th, and $2,250 January 19th, and $1,750 January 30th. Each of these transactions would be excluded from the budget for January, and instead, $7,500 would be added as a manual transaction with the label 'Income' for February 1st.

  3. Create two incomes and two budget categories, each containing the expenses for that pay period. Each income could be named "Paycheck 1" and "Paycheck 2" for example.

It would still look like one budget on the budget page, but you would be able to categorize the transactions into each category based on the pay period for that month.
