Verification vs. Approval

Confused about the distinction between service supervisor verification and student log approval? That's understandable! Here's some clarification...

Service supervisors VERIFY, organization administrators APPROVE:

When a service supervisor is listed on a student's log, that supervisor will get an email asking them to verify said log. That supervisor will get an email every 24 hours until they verify said log. If multiple students list the same supervisor, the supervisor will only get one email with a link to a live queue of logs pending verification

From the service logs overview page, the envelope means that it has been verified via supervisor email verification, the pencil means the log has a signature of supervisor, the camera icon means the students attached a photo, a house means the student checked in through an event or non-profit kiosk (you likely won't see this too often) and the globe means the location attached matches that of a service org within our database

From the details page of a specific service log, any of the verification icons will be lit up GREEN if those verification methods are present.

Again, service supervisors can only VERIFY that a log was done, which shows up in the verification column of the service logs page, or on the service log detail page. It is up to your account administrators to actually approve the logs. If you would like to skip the approval process if the verification is there, you can set up "auto-approval" within the dashboard settings so that logs are automatically approved if they've been verified.
