Opportunities are a great way for Non-Profits to get individuals engaged and signed up to volunteer.  Opportunities are always tied to a specific Location, so if you have not yet created a Location, you'll want to back to the Intercom search page and look up "Create Location".  To create a new Opportunity follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Locations tab in the Dashboard and click on the Location at which the Opportunity will occur.

  2. Click on the "Opportunities" link in the menu.

  3. Click "Create Opportunity"

  4. Fill in the details for this particular opportunity including the Start and End time, Location, Contact Information and Description (all these details will appear on the Opportunity listing once it is created).

  5. Click "Continue".

  6. Opportunities can have either a Yes/No RSVP or utilize Time Slots to break up volunteers by time or responsibility.

  7. To add a Time Slot, click "Add Timeslot", give it a name, select the time frame, and then either choose a maximum number of volunteers or select "Unlimited".  Lastly, click the check mark to save the Time Slot.  Repeat until all Time Slots have been created.

  8. To get a link that you can share or send to volunteers, click the "view" button above the Time Slots section.  This will open a new page and you can copy the link for the Opportunity listing to send out.

  9. When you're finished creating the opportunity you can click "Done".
