Nonprofits can exist simply as entries in our database (name, address, description) in order to make logging hours easier for users through the auto-fill option, but they can also join MobileServe through free nonprofit accounts in order to post opportunities to your users.
There are three different ways to add Community Partners to our database:
If you'd like a nonprofit to sign up for MobileServe so they can post opportunities to your organization, you can send them your organization's unique URL so they can sign up. To find this URL, visit your Dashboard settings -> Community Partners (see image below). Once they've signed up via that link, they'll automatically be linked as a trusted Community Partner. (Note: If they have already signed up for the platform, here is how you can link an existing nonprofit as a Community Partner.)
Additionally, here is a link to our nonprofit tutorial channel, which you can send to any nonprofits you invite to join MobileServe!
If you want the nonprofit listed in our database but do not need the nonprofit to be able to push events to your users, here are the two options:
2. If you search our database and do not see the nonprofit listed, you can search ProPublica's database and add it MobileServe with just one click!
3. We import the general info/contact data for the nonprofit. If you populate the attached template (bottom of the article) and send it to community@mobileserve.org, we can get their information into our database.
Once you've curated a list of Community Partners, users will be able to view that list under their opportunities tab, and any opportunities posted by active Community Partners will show under their invitations tab.
