How to Edit an Encounter Summary and Include Live Dictations

How to Edit an Encounter Summary and Include Live Dictations

Step 1: Access the Encounter Summary

Navigate to Encounters and select the encounter you wish to edit. Once you have opened the encounter.

Step 2: Place Your Cursor

To make changes to the encounter summary, you will need to place your cursor in the desired location. This can be done by tapping on the summary or using the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate to the desired spot.

Step 3: Make Edits

Once your cursor is in the correct location, you can make any necessary edits to the summary. This can include adding or removing information, correcting errors, or updating the information to reflect any changes that may have occurred during the encounter.

Step 4: Include Live Dictations

Simply tap the microphone button located above the keyboard when your cursor is blinking. This will activate the dictation microphone, allowing you to speak your desired changes or additions to the summary.

Step 5: Save Your Changes

After you have made all necessary edits and included any live dictations, it is important to save your changes. To do this, simply tap the "Done" button located in the upper right corner of the screen.
