To ensure smooth operation of our service and compliance with Dublin City Council regulations, all riders must follow the parking rules below. Failure to do so may result in a €30 fine or account suspension for repeat violations.

🅿️ How to Park Properly

  • Always park at a public bike stand
Never leave the bike against a pole, fence, railing, or any other non-designated object.

  • Lock the bike securely
Use the combination lock to attach the bike frame to the stand.

  • If the bike stand is full
Find the nearest available stand shown on the app map.

  • Tethering allowed
You may lock one MOBY bike to another, if already properly parked, to save space.

🚫 Improper parking may result in a €30 fine.

📸 Submit a Parking Photo

After parking, you must submit a clear photo via the app that shows:

  • The bike locked to a public stand

  • The lock securely fastened

This photo is your only proof of proper parking.

⚠️ Your ride will only end after a valid photo is submitted.
Failure to upload a valid photo may result in a €30 fine.

📍 Where You Can Park

  • Inside the city center:
Park at any public bike stand.

  • Outside the city center:
Only park in designated parking zones shown in green on the app map.

  • Grey zones:
You may pause your ride, but you cannot end it here.

❌ Ending your ride outside permitted areas may result in a €30 fine.

Before You Ride

  • Scan the QR code on the bike to start.

  • Unlock using the combination lock (shown in-app).

  • Check safety: brakes, tyres, saddle height.

  • Follow local traffic laws.
