When you are on a ride and want to stop for a break or pop in for a cuppa, and just want to lock the bike but still keep the rental active:

Just engage the lock by hand and use the chain cable and press pause within the app, as mentioned in the How to Park section. When you want to get back on, just hit start in the app again and it will unlock the bike.

When you scan the code, you will hear the unlocking sound after a few seconds. Sometimes the spokes of the back wheel are touching the lock. So you need to move and shake the bike a little bit. If the lock still doesn't open, you need to press Unlock and scan the QR Code again, so the bike will open.

Pausing is absolutely crucial while you are taking a break as it locks the Moby E-bikes digitally and alarms them to ensure deterrence to anyone but you moving the bike.
