When you are done with the ride, you must park and lock the bicycle at a public bike parking stand within the geofence (green areas you will see on the map).

MOBY bikes are publicly used bikes and it is a condition of our license with Dublin City Council that the bikes must be parked bikes correctly only at public stands (sheffield stands), ensuring ensuring they don't impede other vehicles or pedestrians.

IT IS NOT ALLOWED TO LOCK BIKES TO POLES, FENCES, RAILINGS, PRIVATE PROPERTY OR LEAVE UNLOCKED. The lock cable must be secured around the public bike stand and a photo of your ride submitted, to park and end your journey correctly.

Failure to park your bike correctly and submit a valid photo of your parking may result in a €30 fine on your account.

For MOBY Pedal bikes (yellow bikes), just use the cable and thread it through the digital lock to the stand and for e-bikes, lock the bike to the bike stand using the combination lock.

For Moby E-bikes (grey bikes), you have to lock using the combination lock, wrapping it around a public bike stand. The code for the combination lock is in the name of the bike you rented, labeled such as Lock Code 123456.

You have to make sure that the bike is parked correctly and that it is not obstructing the paths of pedestrians or other vehicles.

When the bike is parked correctly, you have to press the "END RENT" in the app.

You will be asked to do a photo verification of the parked bike, a valid photo is one which clearly shows the bike is locked to the public bike stand.

After you take a photo, you'll submit it and the ride will end automatically followed by a beeping sound from the bike. You will receive a pop-up confirmation that the bike was successfully returned.

In case the app does not work, please close your app, and wait for 15 seconds. Reopen the app and try the whole process again.

The customer MUST be next to the bike during the entire process with the app opened. Before walking away from the bike, make sure that you have received the End confirmation message and that you do not have any rentals running.
