In Dublin, you must end the ride within a geofence (green area you will see on the map) and park the bike at a public bike stand only. In Wicklow county park the bike at a virtual mandatory parking location (indicated on the map)

In Dublin you must also use the combination lock to secure the bike to the parking stand. For (pedal bikes) loop the cable lock back to the rear wheel lock and simply close the lock. If the combination lock is broken, dont worry, but please let us know on the end ride report screen, so we can go fix it.

The app will prompt you to take an in-app picture to verify your parking is correct after ending your ride. Ensure you take a clear picture showing your bike is clearly and obviously locked the bike stand.

Then press submit, this will end your ride and generate your receipt as well.

Never walk away from the bike before ending your journey completey, this will cause your phone to loose connection with the bike.

Having Trouble Ending a Ride?

Follow these quick steps:

  1. Restart the App
Fully close and reopen the MOBY BIKES app, then try ending the ride again.

  2. Enable Location Services
Make sure location/GPS is turned on and allowed for the app in your phone settings.

  3. Stay Near the Bike
Wait for confirmation in the app that the ride has ended and the bike is locked.

In your profile you can check your trip history, to ensure your journey has competed fully.

If you are still having issues, note the location of your bike, take a picture of the QR code and contact us through the in-app messanger, to request a manual closure of the ride. If you are overcharged due to a ride not ending we will be able to verify by the checking the bike telemetrics and will refund you.
