Save a copy of an episode you created directly from the Mochi mobile player.
Before you start
You can download your own finished episodes. The October 9 update also adds Download in the author viewer for finished private episodes without a published community copy. You do not need to make an episode public just to download it. Use the Mochi account that owns the series.
Save an episode to your device
Open your episode in the full-screen player.
Pause playback to reveal the controls.
Tap the download icon beside ⋯ (player settings).
Allow photo access if Mochi asks to save videos to your library.
Wait for “Saved to your Photos”, then open your Photos or gallery app.
While the file is being prepared: you may see “Preparing your video, hold tight.” You do not need to buy another scene render to start a download.
If something goes wrong
The download icon is missing
Check that you are viewing your own finished episode in its player, then pause it. For private work, open the finished episode from your series in Create and use its author viewer. If your app is older, install the latest available store update and let the background update apply on a subsequent launch. If the icon still does not appear, tell us which episode and screen you are viewing.
“Allow photo access in Settings to save videos”
Allow Mochi to save videos to your photo library in your device settings, then try the download again if you have not already done so.
“Downloads are off right now”
Share this exact message in your support conversation so the team can check availability. Buying another render will not fix this message.
“Still preparing your video” or “Couldn’t save the video”
Tell us the series title and episode number, the message you see and how long you waited. Mention any steps you already tried.
Keep the same conversation
You do not need another ticket. An app version or screenshot can help, but a written description is enough to begin.
Need another export format?
Tell us whether you need one episode or a full series, subtitles or a separate subtitle file, and any other format requirement. The team can check what is available for your work and app version.
If support already supplied an export, identify any missing episode or file in the same conversation.
Keep your originals
Keep the series until you have received the files you need and checked that they open. If you also plan to delete your account, mention that before starting deletion.
Sharing, licensing and watermarks
For questions about posting elsewhere, commercial use, monetization or watermark requirements, ask support to confirm the applicable terms. Downloading a file does not by itself confirm those rights.
Watermarks on prepared downloads
Prepared downloads of published community episodes now include an animated Mochi TV mark with the creator’s handle, and a short creator end card with a jingle. An older saved file is not rewritten by the update. The private author viewer uses a separate direct-save path, so its output may differ. If your downloaded file is missing, outdated or has unexpected branding, tell us which episode and where you tapped Download.
