How to delete or discard a series

Delete your own series, restore eligible work from Recently Deleted within 30 days, and get help with older deletions.

Written by Daphne Tsai

You can delete a series you created directly in Mochi. With the October 9, 2026 update for 1.1.6, eligible deleted series stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days.

Delete a series

  1. Open Mochi → Create → Your series and select your series. Use See all if needed.

  2. Tap ⋯ Series options → Delete series.

  3. Read the confirmation. Tap Delete to proceed or Keep it to cancel.

In the Studio creation chat, ⋯ → Discard series also moves the series to Recently Deleted when the confirmation says so. Start over is different: it resets setup while keeping finished episodes.

Restore a deleted series

  1. Open Create → Recently deleted. You can also find this entry in the Your series list.

  2. Find the series and check how much time remains.

  3. Tap Restore before its 30-day window expires.

The series returns with its saved work. A private series stays private; restoration does not override moderation or guarantee a public listing.

Older deletions and discarded setup drafts may not appear here. The restore feature does not retroactively make every earlier deletion recoverable. If the series is absent, the window has expired, or Restore fails, tell support the series title or link and what happened. Recovery needs review and cannot be promised.

If the new controls are missing

Install the latest available Mochi store update. When you are not in the middle of a purchase, sign-in or unsaved edit, open Mochi while online and allow its background update to download; then fully close and reopen it. A first reopen may download the update and a second launch applies it. Do not reinstall or clear app storage.

If the control is still missing or fails, share the series and exact symptom in this conversation. App version and screenshots help but are optional. Do not keep repeating a failed step.

If Mochi says “Still generating”

Only when that message appears, allow the active generation to finish before deleting. If it stays stuck, ask for review here instead of deleting or resetting work.

Gems and account deletion

Deleting a series is separate from deleting your account. Do not delete your account to remove a series. Scene-render Gems are not returned merely because you discard the work, and restoring a series does not itself add Gems. For a refund question, tell us what the request is for and what went wrong; a team member or support lead reviews any correction.
