Step 1: Create a Bundle Template
We recommend creating a dedicated product template for your bundles rather than adding the app block to your default template.
Go to Online Store → Themes → Edit theme
In the template picker at the top, open your default Product template
Click Create template
Name it something like
mod-mix-n-match-bundleFind the Product information section (sometimes called Product details — the name varies by theme)
Click Add block → Apps → Mix & Match Bundle
Position the block below the title/price and above the Add to Cart button
Click Save
Adding to a Page or Collection Template
If you want to display a bundle on a page or collection (instead of its own product page), the block can't auto-detect which bundle to show. You need to manually connect it.
Go to Online Store → Themes → Edit theme
In the template picker at the top, select the Page or Collection template you want to add the bundle to
Find an appropriate section and click Add block
Select Apps → Mix & Match Bundle
Click the Mix & Match Bundle block you just added to open its settings
Find the Bundle Product setting in the right-hand sidebar
Click the product selector and search for your bundle product — this is the parent product that MOD Bundles created, not the individual products inside the bundle
Select the correct bundle product
Position the block where you want it to appear on the page
Click Save
Tip: The bundle product has the same title you gave it when creating the bundle in MOD Bundles. If you're unsure which product it is, check MOD Bundles first — the bundle's product title is shown on the edit screen.
Step 2: Assign the Template
Assign your new template to your bundle product:
Go to Products in Shopify admin
Find your bundle product
In Theme template, select
mod-mix-n-match-bundle(or whatever you named it)Save
Step 3: Verify
Visit the bundle product page on your live store
Confirm the Mix & Match interface appears
Test variant selection and Add to Cart
Multiple Bundles
All bundles can use the same template — the block auto-detects which bundle to display based on the product. Create different templates only if you want different layouts.
