Inline vs Popup Selection
Inline ON: Variant options appear directly on the product card — faster selection, fewer taps.
Inline OFF: Customer clicks a product to open a popup modal with variant selectors — better for complex products.
Enabling Inline Selection
Go to MOD Bundles → Customization
Navigate to Pack Builder → Product Card
Toggle Show inline variant selection
Save
Option Display Modes
When inline selection is enabled, control how options appear via Theme Customizer → Pack Builder block → Option Display:
Mode | Behavior |
Auto (default) | Color → swatches, Size → buttons, Others → dropdowns |
Dropdowns | All options as dropdown selectors |
When to Use Each
Inline ON: Products have simple variants (1-2 options with few choices), speed matters, visual color selection is important.
Inline OFF: Products have many variants (10+ options), variants need images or descriptions, cleaner grid layout preferred.
Multiple Option Types
Products with both Size AND Color:
Auto mode: Both display inline — swatches for color, buttons for size. Works well for 3-5 colors × 3-5 sizes.
Dropdowns mode: Both as dropdowns — more compact but less visual.
Inline OFF: Modal handles all options with more space and shows variant images if available.
Mobile
Inline selection means fewer taps but smaller touch targets. Popup modals use full-width on mobile for larger, easier-to-tap options. Test on actual devices to confirm usability.
Troubleshooting
Options not appearing inline — Verify inline is enabled in MOD Bundles Customization
Wrong variant selected — Clear selection and retry; check for JavaScript errors
Layout looks broken — Try turning inline OFF, or enable "Align Add to Pack buttons" in Customization
